TH 9 3 Star Clan War Strategy

We are going to examine a bit of TH 9 War strategy as well as how to get the all important 3 stars. Some players agree that TH9 is one of the funner Town Halls to play. Given the large variety of attack methods you can use to get 3 stars. So instead of focusing on only one TH9 strategy, I’ll list a few and explain several different tactics as well.

  1. Golem, Lava Hounds & Loons
  2. AQ Healer Combo + Hogs, Valkyries and Golem

Golem, Lava Hounds & Balloons

This is a fantastic hybrid attack. Although you may find it quite tough to use due to the amount of units. The idea is to start with Golems and Wizards along with the your Heroes to destroy the Air Defenses. Keep in mind, you also need to take care of the enemy Clan Castle troops.

After that it’s a basic LaLoon attack. Use the Lava Hounds as tanks, then deploy the Balloons behind them. Throw your Rage and Haste spells in their path. Enjoy watching them demolish the defenses with their splash damage. Keep a few archers to start clearing the remaining buildings left by the Balloons.TH 9 3 Star Clan War Strategy

AQ + Healer Combo

This is a cool attack that can even be helpful at TH 10. The Archer Queen and Healer attack is strong at most levels, not only TH 9. But at TH 9 along with enough healers, the Archer Queen can wipe out the whole side of the base. She can clear a path for the Barb King, Golems and archers to dive into the core. Use Hog Riders to destroy defenses from the sides. Finally you should have some archers (about 10) to Snipe any far buildings there might be. If your AQ gets too low on health, throw a Rage spell on her and the healers to help keep her alive. But don’t be a derp and use her ability too early.

Dragon Attack Guide

All Dragon Attack Guide

The Dragon unit is the most dominant flying unit in the game! It can attack both air and ground troops. It has a huge amount of HP and does a ton of damage. With the latest Clash of Clans update from Supercell, Dragons can go as High as Level 5. So here is an All Dragon Attack Guide to help you adjust to the changes.

Looking at the current stats of the Dragon unit in the table below, we can tell that they didn’t really increase that much between level 4 and level 5.

Not only that, but the new Air Sweeper building was added as well. The Air Sweeper is the new Dragon Slayer, and will wreak havoc if you underestimate there distance.

Many times do I see helpless Dragons being pushed back and Slowly flying back to attack. I have also seen them being pushed so far back, they attack different buildings. So for now I would advise against attacking with all Dragons, even at max Level.

There are always those bases that are perfect for an All Dragon Attack. Things you will look for are, low level Air Defense, that includes low level Air sweeper too. There are also the bases that have everything “clumped” together, that makes for an easy target for an all dragon attack.

Does this mean Dragons are useless? Absolutely Not! With the introduction to the Dark Spells Factory and the Poison Spell, Dragons are a must for the CC now. Especially in Clan Wars where CC troops are lured out and melted Alive by the Poison Spell. The Dragon will stand Strong and defend like a Champ.

Conclusion

The Dragons were slightly upgraded but have a new arch enemy. Supercell will most likely balance them out in the upcoming update. We will wait and see when Super Cell brings back the Glory for the Great Dragon unit or it will only be an excellent choice in CC.

When is the Best time to Farm? (Guide)

After several failed attempts to get the Gold and Elixir I needed to max out my storage, I started to try different times of the Day and Week to see if I get different results. I was able to narrow down the Best time to farm.

During these times I would be able to find Dead Bases more frequently as well as a lot more Slightly Dead Bases. The difference between the 2 types are basically, Slightly Dead Bases are ones that are active, but haven’t collected their resources for more than 12 hours.

Dead bases are more like “Abandoned” bases. They usually have the Gold mines and Elixir pumps completely Full. Their traps are never armed and the Clan Castle is always usually empty. These are what we will be looking for when farming.

I found that attacking on a Tuesday or Wednesday to be the best time to Farm and  find Dead bases. Saturday and Sunday finished in last place as far as Farming goes. These are the days of the week most players are either at work or at school. So they wont find the time to collect the pumps.

As for the times, it didn’t make a huge difference. It all depends on when they were last attacked and how long their shield was.

So try these days for Farming and you will see the results for yourself. Of course a good Farming tip is to always Gem your Barracks when you start and try to dedicate at least 2 hours for attacking. Always be prepared by taking all of your troops with you. A good combination is Archers and Barbs, about 50/50 of each. Don’t forget to have your CC filled as well.

If you find yourself low on Gems, you can use the different achievements to get gems. Don’t bother with the sites that offer “Free Gems” or “Gem Hacks”. They are all Fake!

The Sniper – Archer Attack (Guide)

The Sniper – Archer Attack (Guide)

So you’re looking for Farming bases that keep the Town Hall outside when all of a Sudden, you get a Dead Base full of Gold, Elixir and even Dark Elixir. But the troops you have are minimal, used to Snipe Town Halls and not for looting Dead Bases. Well here is where you become a Sniper! Read more for details about Archer Attack methods.

The first thing you want to do is NOT panic! As long as you have a few archers you’ll be fine. Start by using the 30 Second Rule and assess the base. Ask yourself which pumps or mines can be reached safely with an Archer Attack? Then look at where you should focus the waves of troops most Effectively. Try to stay away from Mortars and Wizard Towers.

Here are the tactics you should use when you’re limited on troops, but want to get as much Gold, Elixir and DE (Dark Elixir). After deploying a single Archer and Sniping the distant Mines. Locate the other mines and pumps furthest from the Mortars and Wizard Towers. I repeat, Stay away from the Wizard Towers and Mortars. Deploy 3-5 Barbarians first and follow them by 7-10 Archers they will be able to destroy a pump or mine even if there’s an Archer tower or Cannon in range.

When it’s time to getting loot that’s close to Mortars and Wiz Towers, here is when it gets a little bit more nerve racking. Use the same strategy as above, by deploying a few Barbs first and spreading the Archers out in case they get targeted. This way they don’t all get killed by a single shot. Deploy more Barbs before the first wave dies to keep the defenses occupied and not kill your squishy Archers. Since you’re low on troops, only deploy enough to get the majority of the Loot. Only attempt to destroy the building if it will get you a win, otherwise use the remaining troops to target another pump or mine.

Trophy Pushing and the 30 Second Rule (Guide)

Trophy Pushing – 30 Sec Rule

Trophy Push like the Pros. Stop wasting your troops for no reason. Stop losing attacks and Trophies. Even if you’re still Town Hall Level 7 or Town Hall Level 8. You can get to Champion League without a problem. As a matter of fact you should Trophy Push to at least Crystal League before you get to Town Hall Level 9. Earn the Free Gems you need as soon as possible.

Here I am trying to reach Champion League to get more Free Gems and end up losing a few attacks right before I get there. If you ever tried Trophy Push to Champion it can get pretty tough towards the end. And if you have been in the same situation before, you know what I’m talking about. Little did I ever take advantage of this small detail that helped me succeed in getting my Free Gems quickly.

Clash of Clans gives you a 30 second timer when you’re searching for battles. Why not use the Whole 30 seconds to plan and analyze the base before starting the attack? Try this 30 second rule and see how much it will help you out. Don’t start the attack before it expires and just take that time to plan your attack. If you cant “win” the battle with at least 1 star, then simply move on to the next base instead of losing trophies.

When trophy pushing, try to visualize winning the battle within 30 seconds time limit, if you can, then start attacking the base, otherwise skip to the next base. Don’t risk losing too many trophies. Because every time you lose an attack, you will need to “1 Star” about 4 bases to make up for the lost trophies. You can see why the 30 second rule is so important. Make sure you follow the attack strategies and guides posted here.

Try this method when farming for Gold and Elixir too. If you’re not able to see yourself getting to the Gold and Elixir within the 30 second window, just move on to the next base. There are plenty of loaded bases during the weekdays. So plan ahead and don’t shoot before you Aim.

If you’re Town Hall Level 7 or 8, it’s a lot “cheaper” to find farming bases that leave the Town Hall outside. So take advantage of that and try to trophy push targeting those bases.

Higher League the Easy Way (Guide)

Higher League the Easy Way (Guide)

Getting to a higher League has a lot of benefits. The most important is the amount of Loot Bonus you get. Another benefit is you will get higher level bases to attack and if you’re Town Hall 7 or 8 you will reap the benefits of more loot from bases higher than you.

Can you get there though if you’re still Town Hall 7? Of course you can. Just start by designing your base with the TH heavily protected. Believe me you will start getting Trophies just from defense wins. Don’t worry about your Storages. Since they have higher Health, you should use them to occupy the attacking troops while your defenses blast them away.

So try and position the Storages close to the outer walls, but within the range of your Mortars and Wizard Towers. You won’t lose much in resources if you’re a lower TH, but you will gain many Defense wins and get to the higher league faster, sometimes even overnight!

That’s the easiest and quickest way to get to a higher League. Take advantage of your Town Hall level. Lower Town Halls will be able to Loot more Gold and Elixir.

Don’t underestimate your defense! Even at lower levels, winning defenses is not difficult. Just focus on protecting your Town Hall. Try not to worry about your resources. You can get what you lose easily once you’re in the higher leagues.

Of course you can also get to the higher Leagues by Sniping Town Halls and winning battles. All you need is a few archers, maybe 5 per Town Hall, and some patience. I highly recommend this method only if you have some Gold to spare. you will have to pass up a lot of bases that don’t have the TH outside.

Be careful of Tombstones around the TH. That’s a sign that the Town Hall is booby trapped with Teslas and Bombs. If you’re in doubt just move on to the next base. Avoid losing battles unless you find a dead base. Then you can try following this Post on How to Snipe Bases with minimal troops.
